(3) Change is announced - engaging
myself and others in the change quickly
The
situation -
You are charged
with implementing a change in your local area; a
change that may have been initiated centrally, or
elsewhere in the organisation.
The
complication -
People have deeply
felt needs for control and balance in their lives.
When major change is announced, and particularly
if we havent had a hand in the decision/design
of that change, feelings of fear and anxiety that
emerge stand in the way of us seeing the opportunities
that a particular change brings.
The module
-
Offers insights and practical actions for helping
oneself, and others build new expectations that
give them a renewed sense of control/stability
because;
you know how best to gain access to / clarify
the imperative for change, and the attractiveness
of the future state of the change, and/or
you understand how best to shake-up
peoples habitual ways of thinking and
behaving sufficiently to heighten their awareness
of a need for change, and their appetite for
engaging the change
